Taking an executive MBA in the UK has become an icreasingly popular way to get your MBA. Almost
all of the business schools in the UK now offer an executive MBA in some format. Part time or
modular being the most common although some also provide distance learning MBAs with some
residential classes.
Executive MBAs provide a way to keep the cash coming while you study, but they also
usually mean two or more years of high workloads and tough deadlines while still doing your
"day job". There aren't any published rankings of executive MBAs in the UK, but based purely
on anecdotal evidence the following are worth checking out.
Top UK executive MBAs
1     London Business School (LBS) EMBA
2     Cranfield EMBA
3     Manchester
4     Warwick part time & modular MBA
5     Ashridge
The LBS EMBA, just like its full time MBA, is top of the pile in the UK. The cost of the
programme reflects this with fees in 2000/2001 around £36,000 for the two year course. The other MBA
courses on the list are not as expensive, but don't have the reputation of an international - class
school while still being good national schools.
What turns out to be the best value MBA depends on what you hope to get from it. As well as
being an excellent course, the LBS EMBA provides the "calling card" MBA that many candidates
want. The other schools listed here also have weight with recruiters in the UK (and the rest
of Europe) although less so outside of Europe.

UK MBA RANKINGS also provide part time courses and
will extend your skill set and enhance your career prospects.
