Executive MBAs are taken increasingly seriously by employers. Here we summarise the Financial Times
research from 2003 across worldwide schools. This year we see an all-US top 5 for the first time since
the research started (2001) with the closest contenders the two European Schools, LBS and Empresa. We also see
an entry straight into the top 10 from Hong Kong UST Business School.
This year the research has been expanded to cover 75 schools
Among the new entrants are:
Hong Kong UST as already mentioned at nine, Georgetown (McDonough) at 15, IMD at 19, Toronto (Rotman)
at 32. Rice and Concordia. A school from
Germany (WHU, Beisheim) makes its first appearance at 43 and we also see schools in Israel (Tel Aviv), Belgium (Vlerick
Leuven Ghent), Argentina (IAE) and Mexico (Ipade) appear in the EMBA rankings. INSEAD launched its first
EMBA program (in France and Singapore) at the end of 2003 with around 70 students in total at the two campuses. We
would expect the school to feature in the research as soon as it is eligible.
